Avocado Shake (Mom’s favorite)

a) Put in a blender:
3 cups cubed avocado
1 cup very cold all purpose cream
ice cubes
1/2 cup sugar

Mixture will be thick, serve with long teaspoons in 2 tall glasses with an underliner/plate.

  1. Are avocadoes used much in “generic” Filipino cuisine? Seems Indonesia and Vietnam love to drink ’em, but not add ’em to dishes. Same with the Philippines? Come to think of it, I was hoping to see more of a variety in the street food in Maynila, but mostly it was lumpia, longaniza and good (but salty) garlic peanuts.

    • well ive seen recipes for cakes….but never tried it…i just love ripe avocados with condensed milk. and of course, guacamole, but am sure filipinos loving that now too…and sushi (california maki). and filipino avocados are just like manila mangoes….better and more flavorful. thanks for stopping by. hope u subscribed too
